HESC Introduces College Financial Aid Award Letter Comparison Tool
The New York State Higher Education Corporation (HESC) has launched a College Financial Aid Award Letter Comparison Tool to help college-bound students and families interpret their award letters and get the bottom line cost of each college before making a final decision. The tool allows students and families to see side-by-side comparisons, highlights net costs and estimates the full two- or four-year cost of each college. The New York Times Academic Pass Digital Subscription
The CUNY Office of Library Services now provides the Academic Pass to all CUNY students, faculty and staff. The Academic Pass gives anybody with a cuny.edu mail domain a year-long subscription to the New York Times Digital (with future renewals planned). The subscription does not include the tablet app, but it does include apps for mobile phones. Go to >>
Summer 2014 Youth Employment Program Begins
The New York City Summer Youth Employment program is now accepting applications. The application period is open from Monday, March 3 – Friday, April 25, 2014. All youth aged 14-24 who permanently reside within the five boroughs of New York City are eligible and encouraged to apply. To apply for SYEP, submit a completed application by going to http://www.nyc.gov/dycd.
CUNY Assessment Test Prep Workshops
The CUNY assessment test prep workshops are for those age 19+ who are admitted or seeking admission to the City University of New York. Classes are 90 minutes in duration and teach how to prepare for the assessment tests. More info at >>
